What is an RMG tech pack and how does AI parse it?
A tech pack (technical package) is the garment specification document your buyer provides — it contains style details, all raw material (RM) line items with codes, colorways, and placement info. Merchant Pro uses Claude Vision to read every page of the PDF and extract structured data: RM codes, descriptions, colorway-material mappings, and style metadata. No PDF templates required — it reads free-form documents like a human would.
How long does a full pipeline take from upload to RM tracker?
AI parsing typically takes 4–8 seconds. The complete pipeline — from upload to final RM tracker — usually takes 30–90 minutes of total human time spread over a few days, compared to 2–3 full working days manually. The bottleneck is always human steps: filling consumption values, confirming pricing, and entering booking details.

Is there a supplier-facing view?
Yes. Suppliers get a read-only portal showing their fabric booking details: required quantity, delivery date, LC/PI reference number, and a messaging thread with the factory. Cost sheets, pricing, and internal notes are never visible to supplier accounts.
